My name is Samantha Tomlinson and I am a Master’s level clinician, working towards my hours for my LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor), which I will be obtaining in August of 2024. I work with children and adolescents ages 3 to 18. My experience has been focused on working with anxiety, depression, ADHD and trauma. Although this has been my experience, I am open and willing to see a variety of clients with whatever they may need to bring to therapy. My approach is one of mutual respect and understanding, and creating a space that feels safe. I combine the use of CBT and humanistic psychology to help clients become aware of their strength and inner power, and focus on the solution and long-term committment to a happier and healthier life. In 2020, I graduated from Chestnut Hill College with my bachelor’s in psychology and then continued my education to specialize in children and adolescents, obtaining my masters in clinical and counseling psychology. I have worked in a variety of settings since starting in the field including crisis, IBHS, group therapy, and outpatient therapy. Through my work experience, I have gained a better understanding of the levels of care needed with each individual. My goal is to obtain my LPC and incorporate animal therapy into the overall progress that comes from therapy.
